Dear Parents, I begin this letter with sad news. Three of our families have suffered the loss of a loved one in the last few days and I ask that you hold the Osman family, Mathonsi family and the Maringa family in your hearts and prayers as they come to terms with their grief and loss. Our sincere condolences to them all. It has been a difficult time since we re-opened our school, with many changes and adjustments to timetables and test calendars. Dear Parents, This Friday should have been the matric dance for the Class of 2020… a night of fairy lights, sparkling dresses, slick suits and smart cars… a rite of passage they have looked forward to and planned for years. Their year should have been one that celebrated a list of events for them: the last basketball game, the last inter-house event, the last fundraiser for charity. Each of these should have been part of the letting go process for our Grade 12’s in a year that should have showcased their talents.  Along with so much else, that has been ruined by COVID-19. Ridgeway Matric Results

The Headmaster of Ridgeway College Mr Bruce Wells congratulated the Matric Class of 2017 for achieving strong results with a total of 38 distinctions and a 95% matric pass rate. Ridgeway offers the AS Cambridge and IEB curriculum at the matric level. At the AS level a total of 18 students sat for the matric examinations. 14 students achieved Bachelor passes with 2 achieving Diploma passes and 2 a Higher Certificate. At IEB 18 sat for the examinations with 9 students achieving Bachelor passes and 6 students achieving Diploma passes and 1 a Higher Certificate. Our top students in the AS class was…

Ridgeway College recorded a 100% pass rate

Ridgeway College recorded a 100% pass rate in the Cambridge IGCSE 2017 examinations, recording 45 distinctions and 63 B grades.  Mr Wells congratulated the IGCSE class for producing an even distribution of strong grades across the year group and credit and praise was extended to the teachers for their hard work and dedication in preparing the students for the rigorous IGCSE examinations.  The top IGSCE student was Emlyn Foord (pictured below) , who achieved 8 distinctions in total. 6 A`s and 2 A* (90% and above) in the following subjects, Accounting, Afrikaans, Biology, English, Geography*,…
