Study @ Ridgeway College

Ridgeway College prepares students to be responsible, globally-minded, compassionate, and reflective learners. Our rigorous academic programme creates space and time for critical reflection on basic questions about what is good, fair and just. We teach to the heart as well as the mind.

Leadership comes naturally to some and needs to be nurtured in others. It is our responsibility as a school to provide leadership opportunities for all our learners and to develop that skill wherever and however we can. The pupils and staff appoint a Council each year and each council member then runs a portfolio. Anyone, from any grade, may offer to assist with these portfolios. Their efforts, from grade 10 -12, are recognised in merit awards or leadership colours and honours. We actively encourage student-driven community-based projects to foster leadership skills, to grow an awareness of the needs of others and to learn compassion and kindness.
